5-Bedroom Villas in Seminyak Support Growing Manta Ray Tourism in Bali
As a tourist destination in Indonesia, the island of Bali is primarily known for its festivals, like the Hijriah New Year in March and Bali Arts Festival from June to July. The good news is, manta ray exhibitions may soon be a part of the island’s tourist attractions, after the Indonesian government recently declared that fishing and exporting these species of fish are now prohibited.
This was done to preserve the US$15 million manta tourism industry that the people were never able to fully appreciate until recently, according to the The Tribune-Review:
Government officials were “so surprised that the tourism value is very high. That’s a very powerful argument,” said Tiene Gunawan, marine program director at Conservation International Indonesia. “Indonesia is such a big, big, big country. When looking at the size of the water, it’s huge. And I think we should start small and make some kind of pilot for this enforcement.”
The regulation was passed Jan. 27. Conservation groups are working to teach fishermen about the value of keeping the mantas alive, while business people, the military, water police and local officials are being engaged to assist.
Thus, visiting a manta spot in Bali may be another reason to stay at a resort in the island. Tourists should also consider taking things a step higher by booking at a holiday villa instead, to maximize the benefits of a Bali vacation. A luxurious villa in Bali not only provides top-notch cuisine and entertainment, but also sufficient privacy that would make spending the holidays in Bali very memorable. The spacious 5-bedroom villas in Seminyak, operated by companies like Baali Villas, are a short drive from the island’s shopping districts and beaches and, soon, the manta ray exhibition venues.
Of course, there are factors in villa lodging that may differ from the hotel accommodations most visitors are used to. Tourists should consider these before they make reservations with a private villa. For starters, villas generally accept fewer visitors, making them popular among travellers who prefer peace and privacy. Visitors expecting large and loud parties might not find those events in a private villa.
In general, private villas can be pricier, with additional taxes and charges bundled into the luxurious amenities. Some establishments are more forthcoming with these; tourists must be clear on how much they’re paying and for what.
In addition, only a few owners of 5-bedroom villas in Seminyak assist visitors in finding the best shops and resorts, thanks to their knowledge of the locale and the country’s regulations. Visitors should find villa operators who know the latest developments in the island’s tourism industry.
